As a freelancing engineer, I constantly challenge myself to create designs that offer versatility and power. Recently, I embarked on an exciting journey:
🚀 Designing a DIN-rail compatible control and communication node built around either the standard-size #raspberrypi or the compact RaspberryPi Compute Module.
This node isn’t just your average piece of hardware. I’ve incorporated:
1️⃣ A single Gigabit Ethernet port.
2️⃣ Three 100 MBit Ethernet ports.
3️⃣ OneWire sensor inputs.
4️⃣ 13 galvanically isolated I/O ports for diverse applications.
5️⃣ Beyond that, it’s designed to be robust with an 85-265 VAC power supply and a dedicated RS485 interface, among other features.
I will keep posting about this device. Always remember, the best designs often stem from pushing boundaries and thinking outside the box! 🚀
